Everyone has a sock, right? Well that’s all you need to honor missing children and their families May 25, National Missing Children’s Day. Spread the word. It’s a cause that’s definitely worth your time. In addition, a lesson plan pack for teaching and reminding students how to stay safe is already prepared for you! Oh, and there’s something else. The Rock One Sock campaign is awarding a $500 Amazon gift card to one lucky teacher for sharing this important cause with his or her students.
Please set aside time between May 21 and May 25 for this important event. Choose a lesson, video, worksheet, or coloring page (perfect for preschoolers) from the lesson plan pack to share with your kiddos. Then post a photo of you and your students rocking single socks to social media such as Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #RockOneSock. (If you post to Instagram be sure to tag #themailbox too!) Lastly, complete a super simple entry form that takes two minutes tops. I’ve provided the links you need below.
