New for You: Free Printables and Sweet Watermelon Resources

Here’s a juicy tidbit to share: The National Watermelon Promotion Board has just posted new educational resources, and they’re free to download.

You’ll find all of the new resources at Materials reinforce the Department of Agriculture MyPlate program. Here’s a peek at what’s there:




J. Slice activity sheets for kids. Students will meet the friendly characters J. Slice, Pinky, and Patch as they learn about fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, and more.







Printable lifestyle tips. These healthy living tip sheets are loaded with information to use in lessons about healthy living and to help you keep your healthy living resolutions!







Colorful J. Slice lunchbox cards. Add a little fun to lunchtime with these printable cards. Share them with parents too.

  2. I live in South Georgia and watermelon is a hot community in the summer time. My family grows watermelons and believe me it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get a melon from the field to the store. Please, thank farmers for all of their hard work and dedication to get food on our tables. I love the casserole tote. #thankamelonfarmer
