New for You: Free Printables and Sweet Watermelon Resources

Here’s a juicy tidbit to share: The National Watermelon Promotion Board has just posted new educational resources, and they’re free to download.

One lucky teacher will be randomly selected to win this super-fun watermelon-themed swag: a watermelon water bottle and a watermelon casserole tote. You’ll be all ready for healthy lunches, spring picnics, and summer holidays for sure! Hurry, send your comment by February 9 to be included in our drawing.

You’ll find all of the new resources at Watermelon.org/MyPlate. Materials reinforce the Department of Agriculture MyPlate program. Here’s a peek at what’s there:

  2. I live in South Georgia and watermelon is a hot community in the summer time. My family grows watermelons and believe me it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get a melon from the field to the store. Please, thank farmers for all of their hard work and dedication to get food on our tables. I love the casserole tote. #thankamelonfarmer
