Has being kind to others become unfashionable, unhip, or uncool? Sometimes it feels that way, doesn’t it? It’s easy to get so wrapped up in the pressures of daily life that being kind to others slips through the cracks. However, when kindness becomes a habit, it doesn’t slip. It becomes something you do without even thinking about it. When we make kindness the norm and not the exception, I believe our world will be a much happier place
Tuesday, November 13, 2018, is World Kindness Day. Teachers are some of the kindest people I know, so I am confident that I can count on you to spread the word about this special day. What’s a simple and easy place to start? Simply ask students to recall how they feel when they are graced with acts of kindness. This often motivates students to pass along those good vibes to their friends and family members. Use the awards below to recognize your students’ kind acts. (Click on each award to be taken to a printable version.)
I’d love to hear about the kindness you give and receive!
Thanks for all you do!
