I have been at my current school for eight years, all of them in Kindergarten.

Hello!

I’ve been teaching in my current school for 15 years.

I have physically moved classrooms 4 times.

I have taught grades 4-6 and my ABSOLUTE favorite grade would be 6th grade! In my district, our elementary building is K-6 so they are “Big man on campus” and I LOVE this age!

I LOVE seeing them grow both physically, emotionally, and academically throughout the year. I especially like that fact that I can joke with them and they get my jokes 🙂

5 years at my current school, moved classrooms 15 times in 33 years, and 2nd grade is best. They’re old enough to wipe their own noses and tie their own shoes, but too young for hormones. High stakes testing doesn’t kick in as seriously until 3rd, which also makes a difference. Ironically, I only taught 2nd for 2 years!

23 years at school

I love second grade! They are in a huge transition stage. Even though their struggles can be frustrating, the light bulb moments and the realization of their own growth is so worth it

After 20 years of teaching I switched positions. I used to teach 4th grade and now I teach

K-5 library and media. So it is going to be my 5th year at my current school (I’m at 3 elementaries) and overall my 25th year! ⭐️????

I have been at my current school for 6 months.

1. This is my 20th year. 15th in my current school.

2. In my current school, only moved 3 times.

3. I love kinder! Because of their joy of learning and the massive progress they make in one year!

I love teaching 3rd-5th grade but I think my favorite is 4th because they’re still so eager and independent and motivated plus the conversations are priceless!

2. I have changed rooms once right after my 1st year at this school. I’ve been in the same room for 19 years.

I have been teaching at the same preschool for 3 years.

The first year I was an afternoon assistant/sub. The second year I got my own classroom and taught 2 year olds. The year after I moved up with some of my students to the three year olds class. So I’ve moved rooms twice!

The threes are my favorite age to teach because they love story time and are so energetic.

1. Three years 🙂

1. I’m about to start my 29th year!!! Keep em’ coming!

2nd grade! They are still little enough to be excited about learning, have silly stories to share, and give you endless notes and pictures to brighten any day! But at the same time, they are old enough to study interesting topics, work independently at times, and (most) tie their own shoes!

1. This year will be my fourteenth.

2. I’ve moved my classroom nine times. Yeesh! I’ve never counted before; no wonder I hate hearing I have to move again!

3. My favorite grade is fourth.

6 years

3 moves

Not sure love teaching upper elementary math but also love the littles

1. 6th at this school

2. 9 classrooms ????

3. 5th grade. This is what I taught my first 7 years and then when I moved back home there’s wasn’t any opening in 5th so I taught 3rd and then 4th waiting for my chance to get back to 5th. I love the humor and sarcasm that I can use while teaching because that is what comes naturally to me and my students seem to relate well because I am being real and they can tell.

1. This will be my tenth at my school

2. I have moved classrooms six times

3. 3rd is my favorite because they are learning so many “real life” skills across all content areas. They are also sweet but independent.

I get to influence their self-esteem in math, and help them continue to explore the world of math and science as “do-able” subjects!!! There’s nothing cooler!!

I’ve moved classrooms 2 times

I have been teaching for 28 years at my current (and only) school. Moving only one time … into a newly built school. I’ve always taught middle grades (6&7). These kids are a unique bunch … with something new each and every day. <3 it!!

I have taught and substituted from kindergarten through 12. If I have to choose a preferred grade level to teach, it would be 5th grade. 5th grade is that sweet spot where students begin to have their own opinions but they are not yet overly hormonal. Debates and classroom discussions are rewarding at that grade level.

I have been teaching 15 years at my current school! I LOVE these felt tip pens!

I’ve moved rooms 4 times so far in my career and I feel blessed that it’s that few.

#3. My favorite grade to teach is Pre-K. I love working with children in this age group (4 and 5 year olds) because they are becoming a bit more independent, have the desire to learn and just so alive in spirit. Seeing them learn and getting the “ah-ha” look on their face when they conquer a skill makes my day. Seeing their growth throughout the school year amazes me, they come to me little children still depending on mommy/daddy for everything and leaving a more independent child ready to conquer the world of elementary school.

2. I’ve moved rooms 6 or 7 times.

3. I’ve loved them all, but my favorite would be the current grade I teach, which is 3rd. I just really enjoy the curriculum, teaching them multiplication–which they are so excited to lean, and this is a fun age.

3. I love teaching middle school. They are old enough for in depth discussions but not too grown up to be silly or completely cynical.

Prek because they are so excited about school and it’s the first stage to encourage a love for school.

1. Will be starting my third year at my current school.
