Who Is Irving Naxon?

With Thanksgiving Day just a few days away, I’ve been having a lot of thankful thoughts. I am thankful for my family, my health, and my job. I am thankful from the top of my head to the tips of my toes for teachers, veterans, health care workers, and the list goes on and on. This year’s early arrival of winter conditions has prompted me to add Mr. Irving Naxon to my thankful list. No, this humble gentlemen didn’t invent thermal wear or the snow blower. He did, however, invent my favorite piece of wintertime cookware—the Crock-Pot slow cooker. Gotta love a guy who figured out a way to have dinner ready the minute you walk in the door. If only he’d also invented a piece of cookware that, with the twist of a knob, prepares a scrumptious turkey and all the fixin’s!Blog-Oven-Mit

Are you cooking, traveling, or both this Thanksgiving holiday?

Sending thankful thoughts your way!
