Top of Tuesday to Ya!

I’m back this morning with a giveaway reminder and a second Irish proverb!

The reminder is, of course, for our “Pot of Gold Giveaway.” Check it out. Today’s the last day to enter, so don’t delay!

And here is today’s Irish proverb. Quite thought-provoking, wouldn’t you say?

It is a long road that has no turns.

Hmmm, I wonder how you and your students might complete the sentence stem “It is a long road that…” Please share!

Grins,
Diane

  1. My kindergarten class told me the following answers!
    It is a long road that:

    * has turns.
    * takes you where you want to go.
    * is not straight.
    * is not curly.
    * takes you longer to get there.
    * is too long.
    * is a bumpy road.
    * has a rock in it.
    * has a hill.
    * makes you take shortcuts.

  2. My preschoolers said its a long road home. They all agreed that it takes to longfor them to get to school but the sweetest thing is they said we have to go home so soon.

  3. My students said..It’s a long road that has snow and ice! We just had a blizzard during our “Spring Break”. Yuck!

  4. Y’all got a laugh out of me this morning! It was great to hear from every one of you.

    Darlene, what sweet sweet students you have!

    Bobbi, I’ve been there! What a great response.

    And, Donna, please tell your kindergartners how much we all loved their endings. My favorite? “It’s a long road that makes you take shortcuts.” I’ve been a passenger in that car myself!

    Have a great day!
