Tooth Fairy Revelation

It’s been a long time, and I mean long time, since I’ve had a visit from the tooth fairy. Yet I can still recall the excitement that accompanied an anticipated visit from the winged wonder. Since next Saturday, February 28, is National Tooth Fairy Day (and February is National Children’s Dental Health Month), I decided to check in on the collector of baby teeth. I admit I was mostly curious about how much cash the tooth fairy is tucking under pillows these days. Well, you can see what I discovered. There is a Tooth Fairy Index (TFI)! And low and behold, in ten of the last 11 years, the trend of tooth fairy giving has tracked with the movement of the S&P 500. I mean, to heck with financial guidance, let’s just follow the tooth fairy! :+)
