Okay, the sky is not falling, but I do have a funny to share. Yesterday, I ran to a bagel shop at lunch and took orders for a couple of colleagues who wanted sandwiches. When it was my turn, I stepped up to the counter and requested a toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and two Turkey Lurkeys to go. The college kids behind the counter looked pretty puzzled. “I think she means Herby Turkeys,” one responded. Then, without skipping a beat, the other chimed in, “Good deal. Dang, I thought the sky was falling!”

That is funny! I’m glad the sky is not falling. But I am surprised at how many people really did think today was going to be the end. Another teacher said parents actually told her that their children would be absent because of it. WHAT!!!
Perhaps thats why so many of mine were missing today. LOL
Our last day before break was cancelled for security reasons. Ugh! Our district received threats. Sad times! They announced it the last 10 minutes of the day at the end of our Christmas Party. Sad!
Some of the threats related to the end of the world or so they said.
I had only 9 out of 21 students show up to school today. I was shocked!!!
