The Draft, Round TWO

I’m not a sports fan. It’s just not my thing. Whenever people have a conversation that involves sportzing, I get this glazed look on my face and begin to plan my method of escape. But when co-bloggers Karen and Diane discussed creating a “Best Picture Books Draft,” series of blogs, I decided I could get on board. Football? No. Picture books? Yes. I have some serious opinions about good picture books.

Diane listed our first picks in her blog last Friday. (Click here to catch up!) She went with Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That TypeI went with A Visitor for BearHave you ever read that picture book? It’s stinking adorable!

So now it’s time for pick number TWO. Diane is going with Officer Buckle and Gloria by Peggy Rathmann. MaryEileen Rufkahr, one of our blog readers, was first to comment with this recommendation! My choice is Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories by Dr. Seuss, also recommended by blog reader, Kim King. She commented, “How can you have a book dream team without Dr. Seuss?” Hear, hear!

What would you choose from the list below for the Best Picture Books Draft–Round TWO?
