Here’s hoping your week has gone well! A brand-new school year has me thinking about those favorite words and phrases we teachers like to hear. You know the ones:
This is fun! What words and phrases are you hoping to hear from your new group of kiddos? Smiles, |

I hope I can come back tomorrow, I had the best day!!
We are trying to fit in a few phrases of the Inupiaq Language in our greetings and as we line up, however, we are having the best success with “interesting words.” My class of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are really incorporating some of our tier two words…I’ve been pleasantly surprised by comments like, “Ms. Jill! It’s a coincidence” as two girls both noticed they had purple shirts, black pants, and their hair in one thick braid down their backs. I’ve literally stopped and taken the time to put our “best/star words” up on the board as I hear them.
I love school! 🙂
I loved hearing from a student that this was the bestest day of my life. She told me that everyday. I also laugh when they tell me don’t you remember how to do it Mrs. Taig. I will help you.
Is it time to go home already? We were so busy learning and having fun the time went by so fast!
I love when the kids say “This is the best day ever!
Are we going to do this again!!
“Please, can you read that book again” is my favorite thing to hear a preschooler say.
