Michigan schools have a 5 year common calendar. This year spring break starts a week from Friday on Good Friday.
I have to say when we come back it will be almost the years end
We just had our spring break – only 3 days. We went to a 200 day calendar, and the parents voted to have shorter breaks and get out June 7th. Next year, we will have a whole week and get out June 12th.
We once had a 6 day Easter Break now down to 4 due to a snow day and a day we had to respond to a serious threat. We almost had another snow day today! But we were told it would be made up at the end of the year.
June 7th for my kiddos and June 10th for me. I think we got Spring Break early so the district could run all of our standardized tests together with no break between them…maybe to just get them done. Not really sure if that is so, but it seems like it. The problem with an early Spring Break is that now we have two months with only 2 days off before the end of the month–Good Friday and Memorial Day!
OOOPS! I meant two days off before the end of the year…not month.:)
