This Wednesday, January 27th, is International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It’s a day to focus on the 6 million Jews and countless others who lost their lives due to the Holocaust. This is a topic I’ve been drawn to—and thus have read countless books on. I think it’s because I have difficulty wrapping my head around that kind of violence. So for today’s blog, I’ve decided to recommend reading both for you and for grades 4-6. Here are three books for adults I’ve read in the past year that I recommend.
Escape from Sobibor by Richard Rashke
Auschwitz: A Doctor’s Eyewitness Account by Miklos Nyiszli
All But My Life by Gerda Weissmann Klein
