I’m game! Are you? Next week, November 12–16, is National Young Readers Week. This year’s challenge to principals is “Read Your Heart Out.” I’m going to give it a shot as well! 🙂 I hope you do too. It’s super fun to participate in National Young Readers Week—simply have fun reading each day of this five-day event. Read aloud to students, read with students, and invite guest readers into your classroom. Read poetry, read lyrics, read rhymes, read stories, and read plays. Be animated! Be dramatic! Act serious. Act silly. After all, wouldn’t you agree that one of the greatest gifts teachers give students is a love of reading?
Happy reading!
Diane
PS: Plan to tell us about your reading adventures next Friday!
I hope to read my heart out over this 3 day weekend! Woot woot!
I am reading constantly. And love to read to kids pick a great story and they get right into it. Nothing better.
