Multiple Mailboxes

Wow! We did have a weekend, didn’t we? Mine was certainly a blur—a fun blur—but definitely a blur! I think you’ll get a kick out of one thing that happened this weekend.

The backstory is that I have a relatively new neighbor who travels a lot. I’d been collecting his mail for several days, and on Saturday he popped over to retrieve it. I had ducked into the kitchen to grab his stack of mail when I heard him comment to my pooch, “I didn’t know your mom worked at the post office.” What in the world? Where did he get that idea? I soon found out. He was checking out my Christmas tree! I have several mailbox-type ornaments, not because I work for the post office though! It’s because I work at The Mailbox! How funny is that!

What does your holiday tree reveal about you?
Smiles,
Diane

  1. Let’s see . . . I have an early childhood tree in my classroom. It’s filled with ornaments related to nursery rhymes, fairy tales, Dr. Seuss, etc. My students are fascinated by it.

At home, I have a figure skating tree. Before I moved to Texas, I was a figure skater. I have so many skating-related ornaments that I think I need another tree or two for those ornaments alone.

I also have a tree at home filled with ornaments that don’t fit any of my other tree themes. 😉

Does anyone else have theme trees? Please share!

  2. Love the mailbox story. Too funny. My tree is full of teacher ornaments and ornaments picked by students. After all these years I have lots. Since my family loves lottery tickets each year we buy a number of instant games and I make a tree shape out of them. On Christmas day each family member takes a few and sees if they are a big winner. Sadly none yet.
