Last Day of Giveaway

Happy Monday! Are you in full-on, back-to-school mode? What fun! I wish I could be with each of you to experience the excitement and anticipation that comes with a brand-new school year! Since I can’t do this (rats, anyway!), I’ve prepared a back-to-school surprise from The Mailbox for two very lucky teachers. But here’s the deal.

Today is the last day to be entered in this giveaway. So, if you’re interested in receiving a surprise (trust me, you are 🙂 ), be sure to check out each blog below. You’ll find oodles of great back-to-school ideas and suggestions from your teaching colleagues, plus, each time you comment (one per blog), your name will be entered in the giveaway drawing. Just be sure to submit each comment before midnight tonight.

Hoping to hear from you!
Diane

  1. Just wanted to thank you for doing this. It was great to read what every does – always looking for ways to do things better or different. My own kids start back to school on Weds. I don’t start back til the week after so this is going to be a great week for me. I will really get to focus on preparing for school instead of the piecemeal way I have for the last two weeks! No matter how long I have done this, it still sometimes feel like the first time, did I do this did I do that, how can I do this better. Thanks again!

  2. Freebies are always good. I’ve enjoyed reading the comments in these past few blogs. We start in a week and we’ve been moving furniture back and forth to try to find the perfect arrangement for our preschoolers. Hopefully we’ll figure it out soon 🙂

  3. I am running helter skelter to get ready for the school opening. Lots of Parents wanting to meet the teacher.

I have loved the questions this week and learn something too Thank you Diane and Mailbox. We are lucky to have both of you.

  4. The excitement never fades even if i was doing it for 20 years now. School openings is as exciting as my first day of teaching. I was soooo glad to e a teacher!!!!

  5. I finally decided to get into my room today to start cleaning up and rearranging things. It was tough to figure out where to start. I am starting early this year, because I hate feeling rushed.

  6. These first few days of preschool have left me feeling frazzeled but that will get better thanks to THE MAILBOX 🙂

  7. We went back to school this morning. I teach a morning class. First days are one of my favorite times of the year. Thanks for doing the giveaways. Teachers can always use anything you can give them!

  8. Thanks so much for doing this. I love all the great comments and suggestions. I dont belong to any other blog but here, it’s great and thanks for all the great ideas. Happy school year to everyone!

  9. Reading through the blog posts is fun! I love it when someone posts an idea to try that I haven’t tried before. Thanks!

  10. I love the blog… I use ideas for all 5 of my grands and my youngest daughter started her 1st teaching job today… she survived 20 4 year olds! and even changed classrooms over the weekend Yikes

  11. Today was day three with my First Grade. I have been teaching for 20 some years but I still got a lot of new ideas for the year. Thanks everyone.

  12. Loving these blogs and all the great info! I am looking forward to starting a new school year, meeting my students and parents, and putting some of this great stuff into action 🙂

  13. School will be starting on Sept. 7th. I love to read people’s ideas & what has worked for them…I am going to school for my Teacher’s License in Early Childhood so when I have my own classroom I’ll be prepared & confident with all the marvelous ideas I’ve been reading about! I will be working as a Paraprofessional in an Inclusion Kindergarten classroom. Thank you…lots of luck to all the teachers!

  14. Today was my first day to teach kindergarten. After 25 years of teaching prek, I got a new view of the classroom! I had 30 on my roster last Friday. Of these, 28 showed up today (reminded me of student teaching days with 35 in the classroom). By 9:30 a new class had been created so 8 were pulled out. Ending the day with 20 students, the feedback was positive. One day at a time….

  15. Today was my 11th day with my 21 first graders. This yr will be a challenge due to a big class size, we have a new principal, new math books, and we are leveling in reading and math(which is something we’ve never done before). So, lots of changes! I feel like it’s my first yr teaching. I could def. benefit from a surprise from the giveaway. 🙂

  16. This will be my 1st yr back in 12 yrs. I will be teaching three yr olds. I am very excited. Can’t wait. It has been fun & exciting planning and now I am ready to get started in all the fun & excitment!
