Keeping Current

Do you know that each year we update our early childhood and elementary plan books? I’m working on that today. Well, in all honesty, I’m simply pulling the pieces together! Our in-house editors have selected and edited 52 brand-new classroom tips for the The Ultimate Teacher’s Plan Book Early Childhood and over 80 fresh and fun writing prompts for the The Ultimate Teacher’s Plan Book Elementary. I update the calendars, forms, and organizers. Another colleague makes sure the online registration is set so teachers who purchase the plan book can easily access its programmable online components. Then an artist (this year it will be Zane) puts all the pieces in the right places. I’d love to know what you like best about our plan books—along with any suggestions you have for improving them. Please share your plan book wish list!

All ears!
Diane

  1. I have used the ultimate plan book–maybe it’s me-but I have reading and next year I’ll have math groups-I never seemed to have enough room to put my lessons plans for my groups without having to rewrite. Is there a way to have general lesson plans and also have lesson plans for groups? Just asking. Thanks, Michele

  2. I have used your plan book for about 4 years now and I plan to use it next year also. I love the 10 block per day design and actually I cannot live without it. I use single blocks for Bible, penmanship, and each of three reading groups. For lessons that require more room such as phonics/language,arithmetic,etc., I use a double block. I also like that the blocks are lined and the spaces on each side for notes or other reminders really come in handy. Our private school usually gets plan books from the township, but I prefer to purchase yours.

  3. I have used the plan books. Like the Michelle (#1)I would like individual places for reading groups (at least 4 groups/up to 6 groups) and I would like duplicate pages that I could pull out. We turn our lesson plan books in every year in our district and sometimes I would like to see what I did in previous years.

  4. I have only been teaching for a few years and I have not used your plan books before. I have looked at the sample pages and they seem like a great resource. I really like the forms that are offered in the back. I also love that they have online aspects as well!
