It’s Monday!

Sometimes Mondays can be a drag, can’t they? I admit that, this morning at 5:30, I wasn’t really ready for Monday. But once I got rolling (thanks to a hefty dose of caffeine), I perked right up. Monday? What’s so bad about Monday? I love Mondays! 🙂

Here’s what I’m wondering. Do you find your students to be well-rested or worn out from their weekends? Is it best to plan a group activity first thing on Monday morning? Or is a quiet activity the best choice for a Monday morning?

Have the best Monday ever!

  1. It depends. Some Mondays (like today), they are as wild as ever. Other Mondays they are quiet and sleepy. 🙂 I hope you have a good Monday! 🙂

  2. In my classroom the kids tend to be worn out from the weekend and it shows in their behaviors. I think quiet activities first thing in the morning work best until the kids wake up.

  3. My kids seem tired on Mondays and it takes them a while to get going. I tend to do the easier stuff on Monday am. It works for the kids and the teacher. LOL

  4. This morning was quite remarkable, I attempted to have a “circle time” with my 2’s and it turned out quite nicely. I am also being much more proactive in the number and types of art projects we work on. Play doh anyone?!

  5. Mondays are usually my best days. The students seem to behave well.

We usually have a new theme on Mondays. The students always look forward to it. 🙂

  6. On Monday I am pretty rested up. I am really a morning person. I always start the day with a song called “A Circle of Friends.” Than we sing songs that the children I really exercising with play. Then we get into our serious work with fun. I hope that each day is a fun day for everyone. I can not beleive that it is already going to be Thursday.
Have a Great week and can not wait for Monday!

  7. My kids are so talkative! We start Monday morning telling about our weekends. They are usually tired after an hour or so, so I assign stations and work with 2 or 3 at a time at my station.
