  1. I love to shop at Walmart for school supplies – if I ask ahead of time, they will also save the cardboard box “holders” for the folders that I can use for book boxes 🙂 They advertise great prices, and will waive any limitations for teachers. Happy shopping!

  2. I shop for school supplies all over the internet, local stores, and on vacation to find the best prices for the most supplies. it takes extra time but I save beau-coup bucks!

  3. Target has always been my ultimate favorite place to buy school supplies! It is even better when they offer coupons too!

  4. I shop at Walmart, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree usually. Also, Staples when things are on sale. I shop for teacher stuff at Learning World or various online places.

  5. I like to shop at Walmart for back to school shopping. I also like going to teacher stores because last year’s resource books are usually on sale. Online offers are usually good hen there is free shipping involved.

  6. Wal-Mart they are helping us teachers by giving us 10% back in a gift card of school supplies purchased yayyyyyy. ..

  7. A little here a little there. Where ever I can find the best deals when I get to go. We are 30 miles from Shopko and Alco and 2 hours from Walmart and Targrt.

  8. I usually get mine at Wal-Mart. Although I like to shop for the best deals. Sometimes Target or Staples.

  9. I like to shop at target for my glue sticks. I go to staples for tissues and pencils. I also go to the dollar store for great classroom decor.

  10. I shop at Walmart or Staples usually for the great deals. Target’s dollar spot can offer some great teacher items at times though! Dollar Tree is also a favorite!

  11. Tried shopping at Wal-Mart and it was packed due to the tax-free weekend, so I headed down to Target. Wal-Mart didn’t have white cardstock anyway. I purchase all the specials at Staples–have to make those dollars stretch!

  12. I shop for school supplies at Walmart, Target, and Staples for back to school specials, and I shop at The Dollar Tree all year round. I should own stock in that store.

  13. Target and Office Max or Office Depot. Wherever I can get the best deal. LOVE the teacher appreciation discounts, too!

  14. MostlyTarget & Office Depot/Max, but HEB & Walmart have good deals too. I just look through the ads to see who has what I need on sale.

  15. I shop for my school supplies at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Tree, Staples, Office Max, Office Deport, JoAnns, and Michael s

  16. I have already been to Target and Walmart. I still need to go to one of the teacher stores. Also, buy some things online. Getting new supplies gets me excited for a new year with a new group of students!

  17. Being moved to kindergarten has created a need for lots of new materials. If I were to receive $20 to help with school supplies, I would use it at Big Lots to purchase an ABC rug.

  18. I normally go to office depot when they do their sales, but this year i started at walmart since they were giving teachers a 10% gift card.

  19. I always buy local. In fact there is a brand new teacher store that just opened its doors Aug 21st. I am going to try and support this small business as much as I can!

  20. Office Depot, office Max, Staples, or wherever are having super cheap sales. Menards is having great deals right now. Scissors 39 cents.

  21. I shop at WalMart and Mardel’s and dollar stores–anywhere I can find a bargain!
I also buy quite a bit from the Marketplace

  22. What a great giveaway this is!
Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, or any stores that have locations in multiple states across the US

  23. Wal Mart is usually the first place I go for basic school supplies, but for bulletin board stuff or teacher materials I always shop online (i.e. Carson Dellosa, Really Good Stuff, etc.)

  24. Where ever the best sales are happening! So far, Office Depot. They are offering 20% off already discounted items this week for teachers. #bethedifference

  25. I like to support local stores and stores that support teachers. This year, Staples is doing a lot of giving back through Donors Choose 🙂

  26. I shop on Amazon and at many chain stores but I also keep my ears open for teachers and day care workers having garage sales. I’ve been able to add gently used books to special themes without breaking my bank!

  27. I love shopping the dollar spot at Target! Dollar Tree has a great selection of back to school supplies and a teacher section.

  28. Our town doesn’t offer a lot of choices, but I watch for whatever sales might be offered – Staples penny sales, Walmart back-to-school, and the Dollar Tree. Occasionally, I will purchase online such as Oriental Trading Company.

  29. I shop at Walmart, Target, and Dollartee for school supplies. I really wish teachers were issued a card at these places to give us a discount on supplies. These supplies aren’t for us they are for our students whose families can’t afford supplies. So much of what we buy is for our students.

  30. I usually shop at Target, dollars stores, Shopko and K-mart if I am in the area of one. I would really like to look at Ikea.

  31. It really depends on where the sales are at. We have to try and get more for our money. This year I have gotten things from Office Depot, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, and the local teacher store (Teacher’s Tools).
