Banned in Schools

When I was in second grade, I learned how to fold an origami frog that hops when you push its back legs. I taught my friends how to fold these frogs and soon my second-grade classroom was overrun with little hopping folded frogs. After a while, my teacher informed us that there would be no more frogs in the classroom. The frogs were officially banned. And now I understand why. Those fake amphibians were completely distracting!

I was outraged back then, but now I can kind of see why, throughout the years, there have been odd things banned from schools. These include things such as

  • leggings
  • hugging
  • chocolate milk
  • the word meep

Sound crazy? Here’s a list of 19 banned items. Some of them might give you a chuckle.

Meep! (I was always a rebel.)
