School buses are rolling! Today is the first day of school in our local district. I have to admit that my stomach is temporarily housing a few first-day butterflies—for teachers, students, principals, school staff, and school bus drivers.
Our local news media is bustling with back-to-school news ranging from the introduction of student tablets at select middle schools to mentor teachers for first-year teachers to driving reminders, such as school-zone speed limits and school bus stop laws.

Healthy meals and schools’ meal nutrition is a big topic for our area right now.
Still on the school supply sales here in Michigan. We dont start back until the day after Labor Day.

It NEVER rains here in my area of South Texas. However, on the first day of school, it poured at the beginning of the day — and it poured again when it was time for the parents to pick up the kids!
