I don’t like coffee. I should clarify. I do like a toffee hazelnut latte with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. But that’s dessert, and by the time you add all that sugar, I’m not really sure it can be called coffee anymore. I can’t drink diet soda, so I started drinking regular soda in the mornings for my caffeine fix. That’s was a terrible habit! Now I drink water or seltzer. I haven’t had caffeine in about three weeks.
I miss feeling awake.
How do you get motivated in the morning during this back-to-school season? I could use some ideas for popping out of bed with a spring in my step, ready to face the day! And teachers, do you find that you ingest more caffeine during the school year than during the summer?
I drink alot of tea and water all day long. I think I stay motivated because I love what I do
I teach 2nd grade and I have to get motivated before they start rolling in at 7:20. On the way to work I drink a DIET Pepsi (still gives me the caffeine fix with no calories) and as they are coming I eat a nutrigrain bar. It probably helps that my planning period is at 830 right after school starts officially so I can wake up then.
The only bad thing is that I waited until lunch today to get caffeine and the rest of the afternoon I had a killer headache plus I felt like my 22 2nd graders had the volume of 80 TEENAGERS!!!!!
I, too, drink a lot of tea…but, sometimes, I sneak in a mocha frappe.
