I recently went shopping at a popular store and discovered that we’re apparently jumping from October to December. The holiday section had Halloween candy for sale and an explosion of Christmas trees, ornaments, and wrapping paper. I know this happens to some extent every year, but it just seems more dramatic this year. My main beef about this is that it makes the fall and winter holidays—my favorites—go even faster than they normally do. We all need to slow down and linger over November! (I’m lecturing myself on this as well…don’t think I didn’t check out all the Christmas goodies when I went shopping.)
