Saturday, June 24 2023 is Great American Picnic Day, which is always celebrated on the last Saturday in June. The holiday is exactly what it sounds like—a day to encourage people to get outdoors and have a picnic. Personally, I’m all for it! I love a good picnic. Several times each summer my husband and I get
together with another couple and have picnics at some of the wineries in North Carolina. It has become such a tradition that our group chat on Facebook is titled, “Picnic Peeps.” The only things that can put a damper on the day are the weather and the bugs. Speaking of bugs, check out this adorable picnic-themed craft project! It’s a terrific fine-motor exercise for your students.
