I have a special place in my heart for animals. I’ve had as many as four cats at one time—one that lived to be 23½ years old!—and once adopted a three-legged dog. Now Roscoe, the homework-eating dog, rules my home (I pretend I’m in charge, but I know better), and my family is on the lookout for a potential kitten adoption. So I am not only ready but eager to help you prepare for Be Kind to Animals Week May 3–9 with free resources and a chance for you to win animal-themed books!
