Going Batty!

batLast week, I wore my shirt inside out for half a day. Embarrassing! The week before, I came to work minus my make up—I noticed at about 11:30 when I visited the restroom. Frightening! Last night, I innocently went to care for a kitty whose dad was supposed to be out of town, except the dad had delayed his trip by a day. Did I notice his car in the driveway? No, I didn’t. Awkward!

To cast my batty behavior as simply an overindulgence of seasonal enthusiasm, I present a cute and simple-to-make bat craft. Lucky for me, we’ve passed the halfway mark of October. Hopefully, all this battiness will subside soon! Have you done anything lately that could be considered batty?

 Smiles!

  1. I’m glad you like the craft! Here are the materials and the steps for making the bat.

Materials for one: four 2″ orange paper squares, four 3″ black paper squares, two small black triangles (ears), 6″ black paper oval (body), colorful scrap paper, glue, hole puncher, and crayons (black and white)

Glue each orange square to a black square as shown. To make a wing, overlap the corners of two black squares and then glue them in place. Make another wing the same way. Glue the wings and ears to the body. Punch two eyes from scrap paper. Add crayon details. Glue the eyes in place and draw a mouth.

    Have fun!
