Watch out! There’s a cow tripping over the moon and a baby falling from a bough. Beware, Goldilocks! You’re about to become a chocolate-filled bonbon for hungry dinosaurs. Submit a comment to the blog by 11:59 pm EDT Sunday, July 5, 2015, to tell me which of the contests—and their free resources!—below are your favorites. One lucky teacher will win these fun takes on a fairy tale and nursery rhymes.
From Mo Willems, Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs features three hungry dinosaurs who, for no particular reason, decide to go out. They were definitely not setting a trap for a succulent, unsupervised little girl! I’m giving away the DVD, CD, and book set for this fractured fairy tale. (In case you’re wondering, it does support Common Core standards.) Plus click here for free activities to go with the book. Then keep the laughter going with this book—The Cow Tripped Over the Moon: A Nursery Rhyme Emergency. A cow needing bandages, a washer maid with a sore nose—nursery rhyme characters keep the Storyland Ambulance Crew hopping! (Update: congratulations to Rhonda, who is the winner of our prize.)

I love the resources on the egg website. Very cute math that my class enjoyed!
I love fractured tales! This one includes chocolate which is my absolute favorite. A day without chocolate is like a day without sunshine!
I would love to win the Elmer glue prize pack.
What a fractured fairy tale, Goldilocks eaten by dinosaurs. I will be doing the theme fractured fairy tales in summer school so this would be perfect. Also, I downloaded the teaching guides for books from Disney. I love this blog by the way. It keeps me up to date on news in education.
Love reading these books to my students. This past spring I went to a workshop and learned even more about all the wonderful books written by Mo. It would be great to have a copy of any of these books for my classroom.
Loved all 3 so much I entered them all. Really love the books.
I think the Elmer’s post sounds fabulous! I would love to be the lucky winner of one of their giveaways!
Both books look like we would read them over and over again. The book contest looks interesting.
My kindergarten students would love the egg theme unit to add to our farm study.
Every year we take a field trip to the local county fair and get to see, touch, and feed the animals.
The Elmer’s pack would be a big hit to our writing and craft center. My kindergarten children would love to use the glitter, paper, and glue sticks to illustrate their stories. We are always running out of glue sticks in our classroom. I use my personal money to buy glue sticks throughout the year. Winning this pack would allow me to use money for other learning activities and paper.
May God Bless Your Day! Melissa
Thanks for the resources heads up! The Elmer’s information is something I will look into. Thanks for the giveaway as well!
The Elmer’s prize pack is filled with goodies my students would love to use!
Thanks for the chance to win the books and accompanying fun stuff. 🙂
Mo Willems is the best! Love the resources!
You can’t go wrong with Elemer’s. It is always right!! Thanks for the chance to win. Have a super summer day!
The Elmer’s contest seems fun because the world always needs more glitter!
I couldn’t agree more, Amy! Good luck!
I entered the Elmer’s Contest. I too am a Kindergarten teacher. Glue sticks go quick! Curriculum based ideas are always the best. My principal discourages art even in kindergarten.
I’m the Librarian, computer aide/MTSS aide at our school and I entered all the contests! All of the students from pre-school through second grade in my building would benefit from any/or all of these activities.
Thank you for offering these opportunities!
