I’ve been having problems with insomnia lately. I have no problem getting to sleep, but then I wake up at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning and lie awake until the alarm goes off. Even though I can’t sleep at 3:00 in the morning, I can certainly nod off at 3:00 in the afternoon. This wouldn’t be a problem if I were independently wealthy and living a life of leisure. But alas, that is not the case.
So I may have to do some wiggling to keep myself awake. Click here for a good option to help me wake up as well as a good choice to help your little ones expend some energy! It’s interesting how children and adults need to wiggle for different purposes!
Do you have a favorite wiggly activity you do with your little ones?
My kids love this one because at the end they try to see who can sit still the longest without moving at all:
I wiggle my fingers
I wiggle my toes,
I wiggle my shoulders
I wiggle my nose.
Now no more wiggles are left in me
So I will be still as still can be1

Everybody do this, do this, do this, do this. ( run in place, jumping jacks whatever you want them to do)

When you see the energy level going down.
Slow the tune down and do deep breathes, and then sit down.
Works like a charm.
Is it possible that you are having hot flashing? They can wake you up.
