That’s the look of a person who is tired of reading articles about education that state things that are ridiculously obvious! The articles tend to reveal this information like the correlations they’ve made HAVE NEVER BEEN THOUGHT OF BEFORE. And I know you. I know you’re making that same face. That’s the face that says, “Well, der!”
What set me off? It’s this article. It tells me that poor science knowledge in early education affects science knowledge later on (der!), that low-economic status affects learning (der!), and that it’s important to intervene early to help at-risk children. (Der! Der!)
Ask any teacher. You know this information—no research needed.
In fact, there are a lot of things people need to ask teachers about instead of relying on information from those who are not in the classroom. Am I right? 😉
