In case you can’t tell from my blog photos, I’m pale. Very, very pale. My legs are so blindingly white they could probably cause eye damage. That’s why, when my parents came to visit and we decided to go to an outdoor antique festival, I reminded myself to put on sunscreen. But I forgot the sunscreen anyway. I ended the day looking like the surface of Mars and upping my skin cancer risk. Mom just winced and told me I looked “healthy.” Liar.
So with my experience and the knowledge that it’s time for families to start thinking about beach trips, I’ve decided that this adorable song is super useful to sing with your little ones! Click here to get it! It emphasizes the importance of taking care of our skin plus it encourages little ones to recognize body parts.
Do you have any interesting sunburn tales?

Oh goodness this brings back memories of 2 other teachers and myself traveled over to Canada to spend a weekend at her summer cottage. We were having a great time and decided to sit outside by the lake. Very overcast day the debate was on did we need sunscreen. We decided we would be fine. We all had a great time outside for hours. On Monday the 3 of us returned to work and suffered all week with the worse sunburns we have ever had. Lesson learned use the sunscreen no matter what the day looks like.
