I am neither a history buff nor a political pundit; however, I must give kudos to the United States president who designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of the month as National Ice Cream Day. President Ronald Reagan called for all people of the United States to observe these two events with “appropriate ceremonies and activities.”
I can’t help you with a ceremony except to say that it should definitely include several scoops of ice cream. I’m delighted to direct you to themailbox.com for dozens of free and flavorful ice cream–themed activities, including songs, poems, language arts and math skill sheets, crafts, a gross-motor game, and more. Take this link to The Mailbox on Pinterest, where you’ll find a cutie patootie ice cream craft on our “Arts and Crafts” board.
Enjoy!
