Today is Dr. Seuss’s birthdate and it’s Read Across America Day. This year, Read Across America Day spotlights the last book written and illustrated by Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go! The book was first published in January 1990, and this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. To date, more than 10 million copies of Oh, the Places You’ll Go! have sold, making it the top-selling Dr. Seuss book of all times!
I have so many favorite Dr. Seuss books that I can’t choose just one. Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is definitely a favorite of mine. In addition to being fun to read, the book is filled with valuable insights. For example, I do have brains in my head and feet in my shoes, and I can steer myself in any direction I choose! What about you? What’s one of your favorite Seuss reads?
Have a Seussical Day!
