Marvelous May!

I can think of many things that make May marvelous, can’t you? But this morning I have one very special occasion on my mind. Hmmmm, I wonder what it is. 🙂

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! That’s right, y’all—this is your week! So here’s my tip for you. Set aside time and let yourself be appreciated. You deserve it! In my book, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being recognized for your knowledge, your dedication, your endurance, your patience, your king-size heart, and so much more!

Have a great day! And check back here tomorrow. I’m cookin’ up a little giveaway for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Sending happy thoughts your way!

Diane

  1. May is great! There are so many things to celebrate; May Day, Kentucky Derby Day, Teacher Appreciation, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, and testing is coming to and end. Yeah!

  2. My favorite thing about May is one the weather. So much nicer. But along with it the celebration of teachers and Mothers Day. But my biggest favorite is that from May to the end of the year there is so many fun things to do in the classroom and at home.
    My favorite time of year.

  3. There is a lot to celebrate in May – Mother’s Day, PreK graduation, even a field trip. I just wish my school’s teacher evaluations were over with already. I would feel more relaxed! 😉

  4. Teacher appreciation week filled my heart. Our director gave us each a bouquet of fifteen different herbs and edibles from her garden. Then on Wednesday three of the mothers gave my co-worker and I a special lunch in a quiet room while the director took over our job with the children in their lunchroom. There is nothing like being appreciated! Plus we were given beautiful flowers!

  5. This week we celebrated Mother’s day each day, instead of Teachers. Here what we did for the week:
Monday: Mango for moms. 100 grand candy bar. (Mom, you are worth a 100 grands).
Tuesday: Play date with Mom,a dance with Mom, hugs and kisses (3 Hersey kisses).
    Wednesday: Pinata Play with Mom
Thursday: Free portrait drawing of Mom. (drawing by the Mom’s child). The Mom sat in a chair next to the easel, while the child drew her. We display a snapshot of Mom next to the drawing. Served a small snack. (100 calories snack).
Friday: Lunch or snack with Mom. Flowers, Mother’s Day card, and other small gifts.

It was a lot of fun, believe it or not the children were excited to see a different Mom each day.
