It's a Cool Giveaway!

What’s black and white on the inside and will be given away to one lucky penguin pal? I’ll give you a hint: look for the word Cool in a recent blog title and then check out the blog. You’ll find the answer to my riddle and lots of cool ideas about a very cool bird!

Say, when do y’all celebrate the 100th day of school? I know it varies by school and school district. Is it the last week of January? The first week of February? I’d sure like to know. I certainly don’t want to miss out on an opportunity for a blog celebration. 🙂

Thanks a bunch!
Diane

  1. A black & white reproducible book. 🙂

Our 100th day of school is Jan. 28. I’m in charge of the school-wide celebration. Does anyone have ideas to share???

  2. I am honestly not sure when our 100th day is…we’ve had so many snow days I can’t keep track! It should be the end of January or the beginning of February…

  3. A black and white reproducible book!

We are celebrating our 100th day on January 27. It would have been the 25th, but we have had 2 snow days. We do so much on the 100th day, but then on the 101st day, everyone comes dressed up for 101 Dalmation Day!!

  4. We will celebrate 100 days on January 20. We’ve had two-hour delays most of this week, but we haven’t had any snow days – yet!

  5. A Black & White reproducible book or magazine. I love penguins…don’t have a favorite activity yet regarding penguins since I am fairly new to the education field but do love to have everyone watching “Happy Feet”!

  6. it’s a peguin book – well it’s a black and white reproducible book anyway. I don’t get to celebrate the 100th day – we would almost be done with school if we did – my class is only 3 days a week – but man we “play” like we are there more. We get as much in as the classes that meet 4 days. I sometimes get jealous but when half of my class moves on to kindergarten and the other half to prek I have to save something to be special when they get there right?

  7. A black and white reproducible book! We LOVE penguins.I have many readalouds to share, websites about penguins, and a large, stuffed Emperor who “lives” in our book corner during January. I also have the students
research their favorite one,and write a sentence about it after painting it’s picture. These make up a “penguin parade” in the hallway. Our hundredth day will be the first week of February, either the 3rd or 4th,depending on which day most teachers have on their calendar!

  8. black-and-white (reproducible) book or magazine
We love penguins, too. Mr Popper’s Penguins is a great read aloud chapter book.

  9. A black and white reproducible book/magazine.

I’m teaching about penguins next week and got some great ideas by reading thru everyone’s comments!!

Our 100th day is this Friday (1/21) if we come to school every day this week. Snow days are making it hard to schedule!! =)
