This grinning gobbler can hold a dinner napkin or student writing—a list of thankful thoughts, a story of thankfulness, or a Thanksgiving Day poem—to be shared at mealtime. In either case, the tiny turkey makes a supercute and thoughtful addition to a Thanksgiving Day table! Have older students measure and cut the needed paper strips themselves: 2″ x 9″ for the body, 1½″ x 6″ for feathers, 1½″ x 4″ for the head. Provide paper scraps for the feet, beak, and waddle. Students can then assemble and decorate their gobblers to their liking.
Now, back to that Thanksgiving Day table—what is it that you look most forward to this time of year?
Stuffing gets my vote!
