“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
Happy first day of fall! I have to agree with F. Scott Fitzgerald–I feel like life begins again because the crisp air is rejuvenating compared to the heat and humidity of summer. To celebrate this first day of the season, I’ve decided to include a terrific art project from the October issue of The Mailbox® Magazine-Preschool. (The October issues for all grade levels are currently live on our website.) Check it out below!

I think fall is the perfect time to go GOLD. 🙂
These colorful fall trees look great decorating your classroom or a hallway! To begin, have youngsters fingerpaint a sheet of paper with fall-colored paints. Allow the paint to dry. Also, have each little one paint a tree trunk on a 12″ x 18″ sheet of blue construction paper. Next, have her cut and tear pieces from her fingerpainting and glue them to make foliage at the top of her trunk as well as fallen leaves near the bottom of the page.
