Drumroll, Please!

Happy Monday, y’all! And a belated happy Mother’s Day. In my mind, all teachers are moms (or dads!) too. One time, I about made a cashier pass out when I told him I had 29 kids. When I realized our misunderstanding, I clarified that Drummer-BearI was a teacher! 🙂

Today, I’m announcing six contest winners. And they are…

Kristen K. (“First Friday Giveaway” winner),

Sue, Traci, Sylvia, Sandy, Deedee (Teacher Appreciation Week)

Each winner has been notified by email. If you see your name and think it might be you, check your email. Be sure to check your junk email too. I’ve heard that sometimes my correspondence winds up there!

Thanks to each of you for participating in our First Friday Giveaway blog post (these comments were so touching!) and last week’s Teacher Appreciation Week celebration, which was a blast. We tallied up more than 1,150 years of teaching in Tuesday’s How High Can We Go?” post!

So what was the best part of your Teacher Appreciation Week (or Mother’s Day!)? Please share!

Happiness is contagious!

Diane

  1. Our PTO made lunch for the teachers every day during Teacher Appreciation Week Boy was that a treat! We had Mexican, Italian, fried chicken, lots of different soups and desserts! We really felt appreciated!

  2. I got a flower from every child in my classes. I have these huge bouquets. Just got to love the kiddos.

  3. I loved the happy faces on the children as they gave me their flowers, or a picture they drew, or a small gift they’d chosen for me. Kindness and generosity are good qualities and cheer up the giver as much as, if not more than, the receiver.
