Here’s a quick question for ya! I know you’re busy. 🙂

What change at your school do you think will most affect you this school year?

Thoughtfully,
Diane

  1. Co-teaching, along with new program (Daily 5), new math, more kids (29), new inclusion, more progress monitoring, greater emphasis on results (test scores) by state govt., new legislation

  2. More kids, definitely. Trying to keep things organized and on top of everything that needs to be done. Trying to fit in three days what the other teachers fit into four. Starting some new things to help the kids “get” reading comprehension, and start a word corner. Finding all the time to do said things!!!

  3. Lots more students — plus a new curriculum that hasn’t arrived yet despite the fact that school started last week.

    Stressful!!!

  4. More responsibility (team leader this year) and new team teachers to help transition into our k community. Also we have become a focus school (more outside eyes on us) and new standards.

  5. I think I have everyone beat!: New principals, new math books, we are switching for math and reading groups(leveling), new standards, and my largest class ever. I teach first grade. I feel like this year is mt first year teaching due to all the New things!!! It’s a good thing I’m a runner so I can relieve my stress. 🙂

  6. Leadership responsibilities, adopted Common Core Standards, new report card ( in Kindergarten), new AP, new growth model assessments, new teacher in our grade level, new students, new divisions in our school district, new itinerants for specials, etc. …lots of new!

  7. Teaching Kindergarten again, 🙂 4 students, crazy right? Principal is wonderful…moved to the lower level of our building, lime green and sky blue walls, beautiful stained glass windows to the south of the building…good times are ahead for our class!

  8. The “BIG CHANGE”! It would be the new set of students coming in. The ones that stay another year will help me with the new ones coming in. They themselves become “little teacher’s helper” They alrealy know the routine. That helps me alot. I am looking forward to this year.
