Today is Speak in Complete Sentences Day. (Honestly, my teacher friends, I can’t make this stuff up.) I don’t know who came up with this holiday, but it makes it sound like the remaining 364 days can be spent grunting monosyllables. Of course to teachers, every day is Speak in Complete Sentences Day! And that’s why I have these fabulous activities on complete sentences. Feel free to use them any day of the year. 😉
This group game is a fun way to help students create complete sentences orally.
With this idea, you can use assemblies, field trips, and other classroom occasions to practice complete sentences!
Students identify complete sentences, run-on sentences, and sentence fragments with this bowling-themed worksheet!
