As you plan out your fall, you’re probably finding that with Common Core, last year’s lesson plans don’t always work. The curriculum is different now, and it takes time to sort it all out. What’s a busy teacher to do?

I am interested in Math Common Core Progress.
The Continental Press prize that includes a reader, a booklet, and more is the prize I’d be most interested in receiving. Nt students need books at their reading level to practice with and read.
One of the service projects at our school is to collect supplies for a local dog rescue, so the IFAW information would be a perfect correlation.
I think all the resources have merit: the Animal Ambassadors and Sea World provide literacy and science(there is the non fiction piece the Common Core is asking for); Continental Press and Common Core Progress/Sadlier has literacy resources; and handwriting is still an important piece in education( otherwise know as low tech writing). All of these resources would be a wonderful addition to the classroom.
As a special ed. teacher and tutor of all elementary grades, I would find the Common Core Progress new English Language Arts and Math program extremely helpful for the students I work with. In addition, the Continental Press new Sprout and Read sets seem terrific for the young students I work with who need a good deal of reinforcement and review to support their reading/learning needs.
I would LOVE to have the Animal Ambassadors! As a media specialist in a K-5 school, high-interest non-fiction information is a MUST-have for my 2nd graders during their 3rd quarter Animal Studies unit.

I am teaching 6th grade – I have been in 2nd for 26 years. I would love to have materials to help with Common Core and/or anything to help me make 6th grade a successful year. I teach all subjects except Science (which was one of my favorite subjects). I just want to thank Mailbox for their wonderful magazine (books). A year supply to that would even make me happy. 🙂
I would love to have ANY of these free resources-I am returning to teaching after a 2 year lay-off and am in a totally different spot than I have ever been in and have nothing!
That being said, as a Special Education teacher at the 5th grade level, the Common Core Progress in ELA or Math would be a great resource for me to have to help my students get a better understanding of the Core Curriculum!

Anything that could make lesson planning easier, or help me aligned my IEP goals to the students standards would be extremely helpful!! I have students grades 5-8; however some of their abilities are k-3, making it extremely difficult at times to align goals with standards!!
