So what’s the first thing you did upon arriving at work on this fantastic Monday morning? I unpacked my bag and popped open a diet soda. Ahhhh! I’m ready for the day.
Have a good one!

This morning I had before school duty – OUTSIDE! I wore my heavy coat, warm mittens, and sipped on a big cup of JOE 🙂
This morning I turned on my laptop, read my mail, and hung up posters in the hallway.
I put up new art work.
This morning, I hung rainbows in my classroom to remind me that Spring is on its way!
Good morning,
I came in very early and reorganized desks, tables, and various pieces of technology as we had a village basketball tournament this weekend and a group of high school boys lived in our classroom when not in the gym. Made for a hectic Monday morning.
I was just enjoying the 2hour late start and glad I live one block from the school.
I opened my classroom, set my teacher bag by my desk, and then went to greet and talk about the weekend to Kindergarten Teacher. She is a good friend of mine, and our classrooms are attached.
It was one of those Mondays for me I walked in and the phone was ringing. LOL but it turned out to be a great Monday.
turned the laminator on to laminate all the things I printed out and made over the weekend. put all the chairs down and set up centers –took some pictures of them to put on pinterest – and then made the trek to the photocopier – typical monday morning – lots of little things but looks like I didn’t do a thing!!!
Unlocked my classroom door, turned on the computer, reached for my lunch to put into the fridge and realized I left my lunch and breakfast at home! Unfortunately I had only five dollars, but fortunately I also had a Tim’s card to buy lunch and coffee. The rest of the day went very well.
I changed my leaders for the day, wrote a “morning message” to the kids, and put out morning work. Today was our 100th day so it was very busy and exciting!
It is my birthday so I walked in and saw a special birthday banner from all the 2nd graders! Then I unpacked and helped the teacher next door with her computer.
This morning I greeted our kitchen staff with a cheery “good morning”.
Turned on the lights, turned on the computer, opened my bag and pulled out the lesson plans. Posted up the schedule, passed out students points for the store, gathered as a staff and I lead the staff prayer, checked my mailbox, got the kids, reminded them to hang up their bookbags, and take down their chairs, to move their lunch counter so the helper could count them for me. I entered in lunch count, informed line leader to start opening prayers and plege of allegience, instructed kids to change shoes, get sharpened pencils, pull out their handwriting book, help tear out pages, sent one kid to the office and another to the library for supplies, grabed a Dr. Pepper and sat down. All of this happened in 20 minutes or less. Whew!! I’m tired just reading this.
I’ll be 50 this summer…yikes! anyway this a.m. I had a few sips of my nice hot DD coffee & looked over our Superbowl chart to talk about it first thing! We’re in the Boston area so Pats are our team!
The first thing I did was get my personal belongings in place and then prepared my room for the children.
came in and prepared for my class with a new bulletin board
Unpack my book bag, take out the diet pop and open it, then check to make sure I have everything ready for the day.
Came in early, had my coffee, and distributed take home book buddies. 🙂
