Many students somehow get the idea that once you’re an adult, you don’t really need to learn anymore. After all, adults must know it all. (And some think they do know it all!) That’s why I’m impressed with this intermediate school principal who joined his school’s orchestra to learn how to play the viola. He goes to class every day with his students and plays in their concerts as well! What a fabulous message to give those kids. Learning never stops, and you’re never too old to learn something knew.
This is the best way to turn those students into lifelong learners—by setting a great example.
