Do you have a name that prompted teasing on the playground as a child? I do! Brugger is a good German surname. But a bunch of eight year olds can create MANY unique and embarrassing words from Brugger. Working with children as you do, I’m sure you can think of a few. I learned to brush off all the interesting versions of my name. And I think the experience toughened me up a bit. (And believe me, I was a shy child and needed some toughening up.)
So would that be considered bullying or just normal childhood teasing? If that happened today, would it be brushed off or would parents be calling you to discuss the issue?
