Time for Reflection

mbx-meme-timeAh, summertime! It’s a time for sleeping, using the bathroom whenever you want to, and even reflecting. Sure! Reflection is an important part of downtime. And everyone can use a bit of time to reflect on ways they can improve their lives, tackle bad habits, or take stock of how things are going.

For example, take a look at my bad habit spotlighted in the graphic above. I am habitually ten minutes late for things. I’m not saying I stroll into meetings late, but when I’m going to dinner with friends, I’m not exactly timely. This habit is consistent enough that my significant other has mentioned it’s perhaps something that I should work on. It’s a perfect bad habit to reflect on and make a master plan to conquer during some summer downtime!

Need a soundtrack as you reflect on things you might want to change before the next school year? You can find everything on the Internet! Check out the “Best 11 Reflection Songs.” The first one mentioned is one of my favorites.

But also remember—

“Reflect upon your present blessings—of which every man has many—not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”

  1. My husband also comments that I am late. However, I am only late when he fails to tell me when I need to be ready!

  2. I am habitually early for things – such as work. I have gotten to work so early that I’ve had to stand around & wait for the custodians to unlock the doors. The hilarious thing is that I live 25 miles away from my job. Even when the weather is bad, I’m still there early. Yet many of my co-workers, some who live only a couple of blocks away from the school, habitually show up late! I just don’t know how that happens! 😉
