I found this gem of a pattern on our site and realized that it is 1. Perfect for winter and 2. Really adaptable! Because of this, I think this pattern will be your new best friend when it comes to winter centers!
This snowman pattern, like many patterns on our site, is programmable online. That means you can add text to the pattern before you print it! Just follow these simple steps:
- Click here to go to the pattern.
- Click on the print button to the right of the pattern.
- Type any desired information on the pattern.
- Finish printing.
Type high frequency words on separate snowmen. Then color and cut them out. Students sort and then build each snowman. Then they read each snowman aloud. For extra practice, they can write each word on a separate sheet of paper.
For this math center, type a number on a snowman’s hat. Then type addition (or subtraction) equations on the separate snowballs that equal the chosen number. Repeat this process with a second snowman and a different number. Color and cut out the patterns. A child places the hats on a tabletop and puts a snowman head beneath each one. Then he chooses a snowball, solves the problem, and adds it to the appropriate snowman. He continues until both the snowmen are complete.
