Teacher Tricks!

I love to learn new tricks to help teachers manage their classrooms. The more unique and witty tricks make me rub my hands together with glee and snicker at how skillfully teachers can mold their students’ behavior. (You can add a maniacal laugh in there to enhance the visual.)

Unfortunately, a lot of classroom management blogs and articles list the same old tricks you’ve heard before. You know to use timers in the classroom, anticipate issues, and plan out transitions. Blah, blah, blahbitty, blah. But sometimes I run into an online article that gives a few truly unique tricks you can keep up your sleeve—the kinds of tricks that help you and that make your classroom memorable and fun. And I’m all about students associating learning with fun!

Check out this article on Edutopia. I’m sure you can find at least one idea to add to your bag of tricks.

What is your favorite management trick?
