Teacher Tip Monday!

The last time I wrote a blog about my favorite current teacher tips, I received tons of positive feedback. And what better day to give fun teacher tips is there than a Monday? (I always need a little something to get me revved up for the week (other than caffeine), and I suspect some of you do too!) This may become a Monday blogging tradition.

So here are my current favorite teacher tips:

Place water and small colorful objects in plastic bottles. Then hot glue the cap in place. These calming bottles are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to look at when they are feeling angry or distressed. (Idea courtesy of joyfulabod.com)

Encourage students to reflect on their day and write a small description of something that stuck with them on a sticky note. Then each child can stick her note to this display. It’s a good way to encourage writing skills and find out what’s on your youngsters’ minds! (Idea courtesy of weareteachers.com)
