  3. I love the activities for watermelons. As it gets closer to summer, students will be eating watermelon and what a fun way to introduce a healthful snack!

  14. I love books, especially when they are free and full of pictures and illustrations. I teach students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Along with teaching the core curriculum, I also teach these students American Sign Language (ASL). Reading books to my students is extremely important to help teach them about life.

  15. ‘Nana’s Summer Surprise’ sounds like fun book to share with th children as so many children spend time with their grandparents over the summer. Would love to read it the last week f school and create fun activities to go along with it!

  16. I am a grandmother myself as well as a teacher. I do many things with my grandchildren over the summer. I make sure I have lots of reading time with them. I also get to read to my students during school and expand their minds. So many of our students do not get the opportunity to do much except sit in front of a tv all summer. Thank you!
