Small Victories and Delicious Canned Luncheon Meat

We do a fair amount of rationalizing in our day-to-day lives. You know, I may have forgotten to stop at the grocery store on my way home, but when else were we going to eat that Spam?

It’s a great way to turn small triumphs into large victories. We may have lost to that team by a score of 3 to 2, but they were an all-star team, so we really performed to the best of our abilities.

And it’s a great way to give yourself the pat on the back you need, the fuel of determination to carry on for another day. If I can make a fajita with Spam that tastes this delicious, just imagine how delicious this casserole is going to taste with Spam!

So today, I’d like to cheer you on. Teachers count on small victories to fuel great triumphs. Let’s raise our voices and recognize our small victories. What’s one of your recent small teaching victories? And Spam.
