Skill Review the Right Way

We can’t all enjoy every single task involved in our jobs. I’m fortunate because I can say that I enjoy most of them. One of my job tasks I don’t enjoy? Reviewing something I’ve already written. I just want to move on. I recently wrote a feature for the magazine on The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and by the time I was done reviewing I harbored some pretty malevolent feelings toward that munchy little invertebrate.

Much like this, reviewing skills with your students can be a total drag–for both you and your kids! But with some nifty activities, you can make reviewing something to look forward to! Check out these ideas:

  1. I really like the gift book idea. What a great idea to get the kids to be involved. Going to definitely try this out. Thanks for the idea.
